Grading for players turning 10+ years in 2025

To ensure players are participating in a competition that is both challenging and enjoyable, they are assessed by Sandgate Hawk’s grading officers according to the Club Policy to determine the appropriate division level. Individual players will be assessed on their demonstrated skill level to determine their appropriate team division. The grading committee may invite selected players to grade in higher divisions. In these instances, the relevant players and families will be notified in advance.

For more information, please refer to our Grading for Players 10+ page and our Grading Policy.

Uniform Requirements

Please refer to the uniform section on our website (link) for information regarding uniform requirements and how to order via Netball Connect.

Training

We train at the Bill Brown Sports Reserve on Telegraph Road (opposite the Emily Seebohm pool).

  • 391 Telegraph Road, Fitzgibbon QLD

Players must commit to one training session per week (approx. 1 hour) and one game per week on Saturdays or Monday nights. The season runs from March to early September (including finals) with pre-season training commencing in early March.

Training days & times:

  • Wednesdays 4:00pm - 9:00pm (finish); or
  • Thursdays 4:00pm - 9:00pm (finish)

There will occasionally be 'make-up' training sessions, due to weather delays, scheduled on Fridays. These are not mandatory for players and are offered as an option for players to continue to work on their fitness and skills each week.

Please note: Training is subject to coach availability, but we do try our best to schedule our modified and younger age groups earlier (e.g. 4:00pm or 5:00pm), with older players training during the later time slots.

At this stage, we can't guarantee training days/ times as it depends on the total number of players registered. We typically have 35+ teams and scheduling training is a big task. This occurs following grading days, once teams are finalised - in mid-late February.

Games

We play at Pine Rivers Netball Association within the Les Hughes Sporting Complex.

  • 119 Francis Road, Lawnton QLD 4501

The game times remain consistent throughout the season.

Saturday day fixtures start from 8:00am:

  • Players turning 7 - 14 years in 2025

Monday night fixtures start from 6:30pm:

  • Players turning 13+ years in 2025*

Please Note: Players turning 13+ must be prepared to play Saturday OR Monday. Game days and times for these ages will be confirmed by PRNA closer to the season start.

We will have 13s and 14s teams competing on Saturdays. However, higher skilled players should be prepared to play on Monday nights in the Inters divisions 1-5. All players turning 15+ years in 2025 are likely to play on Monday nights.

The fixture dates can be found on the PRNA website (link).
