Grading for Players 10yrs+

Grading Information:

Please be aware that all players turning 10 years and older in 2024 must attend grading. This is to ensure we can place them in a team with similarly skilled players.

What Happens at Grading?

A grading day is where players play a series of netball games against other players, in positions nominated in their registration via Netball Connect. The Grading Committee may play players in other positions that either the Grading Committee believes is a better position for the player or due to need (e.g. lack of players nominating a particular position).

These games are officiated by SGH umpires, and the Grading Committee will observe the players skills, ability, effort and potential. The Grading Committee take notes on players and by the end of the second week, will have determined suitable teams for all players based on the above-mentioned attributes.

We understand this can be a stressful time, especially for our U10s and new players. Please don't stress, we have a lot of Committee members helping on the day. They will keep an eye on everyone, make sure they're OK and offer assistance where needed.

However, if you are concerned that your child may need a little extra support - please let us know.
