Coaches & Managers.

As a growing club, we rely on volunteers to support our players in their netball journey. All teams must be allocated a Coach and Manager, in order to participate in the netball season.

Why be a coach?

Coaching is a great way to get involved in netball and be a bigger part of the Hawks community. You will have the opportunity to lead a team of players, develop their netball skills and build a positive and supportive environment for them on and off the court!

What's involved?

To be successful, you will need to commit:

  • Approx. 30 mins a week to prepare training plan/s;
  • 1 hour a week for training (per team); &
  • 1 hour a week for games (per team).

What we offer:

  • Coaching equipment provided;
  • Access to online coaching resources;
  • Pre-season coach education sessions; &
  • Ongoing support from our Coaching Coordinators.

We also require all Coaches to hold a current Volunteer Blue Card. The process is simple and it's free, as we link your application to our club account.

If you haven't coached before, that's OK! We are here to guide you on your coaching journey. We can help with training, accreditation and ongoing support.

Team manager - what's involved?

The team manager assists the coach by taking care of all administrative tasks. The aim is to free up the coach, particularly on game day, so they can focus on coaching!

For a full list of duties, please refer to the Team Manager - Position Description

The team manager also needs to hold a volunteer blue card. This is very easy to obtain and free. If you decide you want to be a part of the Hawks volunteer family, we can help you through this process!
