Age groups for registration:

Please use the below as a reference for players age group/ division when registering.

The age group will be based on the age that the player turns in 2024.

*Game days for Inters & Opens TBC

Selecting "Registration Division" in Netball Connect:

Please note that there are various divisions to select per age group/ grade, e.g.

  • 10yrsA, 10yrsB, 10yrs C; J1A, J1B, J1C etc.

Please select the correct age group/ grade for your player this year.

The division selected won't matter, as this will ultimately be determined through our grading process. However, we encourage you to select close to what you think they will be (e.g. if they played in 10yrsA in 2023, please select J4A for this year's registration).

Inters, Cadets & Opens:

There is overlap in these age groups/ grades. We suggest selecting the most appropriate division, based on where the player competed last year. For example:

  • If they played in Cadets or Inters 1 - select a Cadets division;
  • If they are turning 21+ - select an Opens division.

As stated above, this will ultimately be determined through our grading process. However, if you have any questions or concerns - please email coachingcoordinatorshnc@gmail.com

Uniform requirements:

Please refer to the uniform section on our website (link) for information regarding uniform requirements and how to order via Netball Connect.

Training:

We train at the Bill Sports Reserve on Telegraph Road (opposite the Emily Seebohm pool).

  • 391 Telegraph Road, Fitzgibbon QLD 4018

Players must commit to one training session per week (approx. 1 hour) and one game per week on Saturdays or Monday nights. The season runs from April to early September (including finals) with pre-season training commencing in early March.

Training days & times:

  • Wednesdays 4:00pm - 9:00pm (finish); or
  • Thursdays 4:00pm - 9:00pm (finish)

There will occasionally be 'make-up' training sessions, due to weather delays, scheduled on Fridays. These are not mandatory for players and are offered as an option for players to continue to work on their fitness and skills each week.

Please note: Training is subject to coach availability, but we do try our best to schedule our modified and younger age groups earlier (e.g. 4:00pm or 5:00pm), with older players training during the later time slots.

At this stage, we can't guarantee training days/ times as it depends on the total number of players registered. We typically have 25 - 30 teams and scheduling training is a big task. This occurs following grading days, once teams are finalised - in late February.

Games:

We play at Pine Rivers Netball Association within the Les Hughes Sporting Complex.

  • 119 Francis Road, Lawnton QLD 4501

The game times remain consistent throughout the season.

Saturday day fixtures start from 8:00am (moddies, juniors and some Inters & Opens)

Monday night fixtures start from 6:30pm (Inters 1-3 or 4 and most Opens divs)

Please refer to the Age groups for registration section for further details.
